The California Cancer Research Act Field Report will be an update on our march towards victory in November.  Our first step is qualifying this measure for the ballot with a massive volunteer signature gathering effort.  Your help will be needed every step of the way. Throughout the signature gathering campaign, we will be sending these weekly reports.  You will be able to see how your team in your community is stacking up to the competition.

The American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and American Lung Association are jointly sponsoring this initiative.  Volunteers from these and other organizations are forming teams based on Congressional Districts all over the state.  We expect to be in the field gathering petitions the weekend of February 6th.  In order to qualify this measure for the ballot, we need at least 100,000 volunteer signatures.  Have you signed up for your shifts yet?

This measure is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we need your help to qualify it for the ballot.  By participating in this campaign, you may very well be able to say that you helped fund the research that cured cancer.
