 
American Cancer Society's Relay For Life is one of the largest grassroots movements in the country. With three million participants nationwide, we can win the fight against cancer by urging lawmakers to make cancer a national priority. When Relayers take action, legislators listen! During the "Save Mammograms" campaign, more than 50,000 Relayers took action and urged their senators to vote NO! WE WON! Just imagine what we could do if all Relayers got involved - we could change the world! The "Picture a Cure" activity is going to help us involve Relayers in the effort to increase federal funding for cancer research and the breast and cervical cancer early detection program. By telling YOUR story to lawmakers, you can make a difference in this campaign.

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is a great way to advocate for cancer patients. ACS CAN is a national, non-partisan membership organization that allows you to have a more effective voice in the political arena, a more direct impact on health care policies that affect families with cancer, and put real muscle behind our grassroots efforts. With ACS CAN, we can hold lawmakers accountable for their positions on cancer so that we can better serve our families in the fight against this disease.
