ACS CAN empowers cancer survivors, caregivers and loved ones to do extraordinary things in the fight against cancer. Together, we are working to make fighting back against cancer a top priority for local, state and federal elected officials.
From your state capitol to Congress, ACS CAN is making a difference in the lives of the nearly 11 million cancer survivors, caregivers and all Americans by:
- Pushing for more federal funding of research for new cancer screenings and treatments
- Improving pain and palliative care
- Ensuring that all Americans have access to cancer care
- Protecting insurance coverage for mammograms
- Requiring insurance companies to cover colon cancer screenings
- Promoting greater regulation of tobacco products and marketing
We're making progress in the fight against cancer, but future progress is at risk if our elected officials don’t work with us to make the disease a national priority. We need Cancer Survivors Network members like you to take action now so that together we as a nation CAN defeat cancer.
